The TAT office is located on Thanon Prachasamoson between Thanon Klangmuang and Thanon Langmuang. The Khon Kaen Hospital is located on Thanon Sichan. There is various means of transportation around the province, since songthaews to air-con and fanned buses that leave Khon Kaen for other districts all day long. Khon Kaen has two large shopping centers: Oasis Plaza on Thanon Sichan (Tel: 225-014-18) and Fairy Plaza, there are also a Big C (290/1 Moo 17, Nai Muang, tel. 0-4332-5500-14), a Tesco Lotus and a Macro.

BY AIR

Thai Airways International operates flights from Bangkok's Don Muang Airport to Khon Kaen and back again every day, Thai AirAsia also provides regular flights on this route. Major hotels (Sofitel, Bussarakam, Kaenn Inn, Roma) offer their own Airport Shuttles.

BY CAR

It's easy to get to Khon Kaen by car. The city is bisected by the Mithraphap Highway, the road linking Bangkok with the Northeast and Laos. From Bangkok drivers can follow the Highway 1 (Phahon Yothin highway) to Saraburi and then take Highway 2 (Friendship Road). Then go to Khon Kaen via Nakhon Ratchasima. AVIS and Budget have offices at Khon Kaen Airport.

BY BUS

Air conditioned coaches and non-air conditioned buses depart to Khon Kaen from Bangkok�s Mo Chit 2 Bus Terminal daily every 15 minutes, travel time is about 6 or 7 hours (faster than the train). BY RAIL

Various kinds (rapid, express, and air-conditioned) of trains leave Bangkok's Hua Lampong Railway Station throughout the day for Khon Kaen Railway Station, located at Ruenrom Road. Once in Khon Kaen you can take a songthaew or tuk tuk from the Railway Terminal to your hotel.
