Tuk-tuks in Bangkok
Named by the sound of their engine, these three-wheeled motorized taxis are adorned and painted different ways and colors and have become a tourist attraction, they are popular for short rides and not suggested for long distances. They have their source in Samlors, the vehicles which predominated prior to World War II.
They can be found wheeling around all parts of Bangkok. Tuk-tuk can comfortably carry 2-3 people;

Some drivers will ask you to take you at shopping places, decline these, these tuk-tuk drivers are a big hassle. However, most tuk-tuk drivers will immediately take you where you're going.
