Bangkok Metro
The metro has a fleet of 19 trains; special park-and-ride facilities have been established to help reduce traffic congestion. The MRTA has co-operated with the BMTA to link seven metro stations with 18 bus lines for commuters who live in the periphery. The Blue Line; officially known as the Chaloem Ratchamongkorn Line; connects the northern Bang Sue Station to the central Hualamphong Railway Station, via Kamphaeng Phet 2 Road, Mo Chit Northern Bus Terminal (Old), Chatuchak Park, Ratchadaphisek Road, Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre, Lumphini Park, Silom and Sam Yan. The line capability is 80000 people in each direction each hour. The trains run from 06:00 a.m. to midnight, daily. Rides cost depending on distance. Metro tickets are not compatible with Skytrain tickets.
